Rosie Robin wildfelter original art piece Meet Rosie robin, a wee robin fledgling nestled in the blackberry bushes and rosehip hedge.  The rosehips represented by the delicate fabric will feed her on the start of her autumn journey as will the blackberries with much needed fodder for this time of change and growth.  Red robins are adored in Ireland but its the fact that the fledglings are often overlooked caught my interest for this work. Her very understated colours, mossy greens, chartreuses and browns give her much needed protection from predators. She can look a little ruffled and untidy, much like the native hedges at this time of year, but if you look closer her true beauty of strength, persistence and importance comes to light.     As with all my originals prints are available and the right to reproduce the image on other lines remains with me the artist.   Theme One of the biodiversity series focusing on the link between our stunning native species and the forgotten weeds that are essential to their survival. I wanted to start these pieces to educate myself and share my love of nature. It inspired me to rewild my own garden and study the species that arrive. size freesize -16x22inches approx material felt base, thread , felt fibres, fabric. method hand needle felting and free-motion embroidery Shipping Free tracked postage within Ireland. enclosed in tissue and kraft paper to protect until its framed .
