Method & Madness Single Grain Irish Whiskey has gone through an initial maturation in American Oak ex-bourbon casks, and then finished in Virgin Spanish Oak. This whiskey provides a nuance on how we have perceived Single Grain whiskey in Ireland so far. As it has taken those softer, subtle, and sweeter elements which we are familiar with in Grain Whiskeys, and expanded their flavours through the vanillin in the Spanish Oak. On the nose, it has a clean sweet alcohol note which is an indicator of the grain spirit, follows by layers of soft spices, sweet vanilla, and pencil shavings. The palate delivers an array of spices from cinnamon to clove, and an array of more tropical fruit styles.
