While China may be the biggest consumer of tea in the world, Ireland has the 2nd largest consumption of tea per person in the world (after Turkey).  With an average consumption of 4.8lbs per person per year tea is not just a hot drink, it is a demonstration of our hospitality & warmth.  Traditionally we enjoy our tea with lots of milk, this means that we need a strong black tea to go with all that milk.  Our Milk Chocolate has the perfectly creamy, milky flavour to pair with a strong black tea. We selected one of our favourite teas to work with, Lapsang souchong. A black tea famous for its smoky taste from the Fujian region of China.  Bewleys Tea, founded in Dublin in the 1840s is an iconic Irish brand.  Their Lapsang souchong tea leaves have a heady smoky aroma with a sweet pine flavour that is synonymous with Lapsang souchong.   We slowly  ground the tea leaves to release their flavour & added a generous amount to our milk chocolate to create a truly fusion chocolate bar.
