Round Red Basket Handmade basket made with recycled Africa waxed fabric and straw. African Wax fabric developed in Africa for centuries. Stemming from its Indonesian batik origin, the fabric offers vibrant colours and patterns. Dried straw is harvested locally in Africa, dried, and then woven. These baskets were from a French company that has opened weaving schools for young girls in 14 villages across Senegal, employing more than 2,000 women.
