This collection of the photographs of T W Murphy provides a view of Ireland between the years 1909 and 1916, including the Royal visit of King George V in 1911 and the terrible destruction that was the aftermath of the Sinn Fein Rising in Dublin.
T W Murphy’s was truly an eclectic eye, and recorded much that was different and unexpected, often with humour. His photographs serve to give us a better understanding of a time when great contrasts existed in his native Ireland.
