It has all the complexity we would expect from this variety - a 20 minute taste odyssey! For those not familiar with the celebrity of Geisha, this variety was originally taken from the Ethiopian village of Gesha and made its way through Kenya to Panama. After decades of total obscurity, in which its only known positive was a resistance to leaf rust, the variety became an overnight sensation at a now legendary Best of Panama auction in 2004.  This coffee also comes with a special edition ECO BLOOM seed paper planter. These planters contain meadow grasses and wildflower seeds so please plant in a sunny spot and help save our bees!         Farm Info Arvind's Recipe Eco Bloom Plantable Seed Paper   Finca El Cocal is owned by the Alfaro family, 4th generation coffee farmers based in the Apaneca-Ilamatepec mountain range of El Salvador. Their location, altitude, microclimate and volcanic soil are a perfect mix for the growth of really dense, exceptional cherries and, in addition to their normal Red and Yellow Bourbon offering, they have taken advantage of these circumstances to produce what many consider the king of varieties, Geisha.We have not stocked a Geisha for a few years and the combination with anaerobic fermentation really gives this coffee some extra magic. This fermentation takes place in Beneficio El Carmen: the cherries are placed in airtight containers for 168 hours and then dried on raised beds with regular turning for 28 to 30 days.      Recommended vessel: Origami with V60 01 filter paper 55g water for blooming and saturating for 30 seconds a heavy and fast pour. At 30 seconds add 55g water total 110g slow pour. At 1 minute add 55g water total 165g slow pour. At 1:30 minutes add 55g water total 220g slow pour. At 2 minutes add 55g water total 275g slow pour. Enjoy the taste explosion!   ECO BLOOM Plantable Seed Paper is a unique handmade paper produced using 100% unprinted waste paper with seed inclusions. The standard seed mix contains a range of Meadow grasses and Wildflower seeds.The Meadow grasses include Brown Top Bent, Red Fescue, Meadow Fescue, Crested Dog Tail & Smooth Stalked Meadow Grass.The Wildflower seeds include Birdsfoot Trefoil, Black Knapweed, Black Medick, Common Vetch, Meadow Buttercup, Musk Mallow, Ox Eye Daisy, Ribwort Campion, Self Heal, White Campion & Yarrow. How does seed paper work? First up, fill a pot up 2/3 with good potting soil. Take your plantable paper and cover the soil in the prepared pot with the paper. After planting the paper in your pot, give it a good soak. Let it grow. Enjoy!
