Mulin is a stunning seamless sweater, knit in the round from the bottom up. This sweater is made of "nuppud", an Estonian stitch which is traditionally done in lace shawls. Here the nuppud dance across the sweater, creating an appealing texture and babbling about stories of a non-lacey kind! Mulin refers to the babbling sound made by water flowing over rocks or when water boils in a pot. This design features in Aleks Byrd's Traditions Revisited: Modern Estonian Knits. Estonian knitting is all about techniques, embellishment and regionality. Each knit tells a story about the knitter and where they live. We have chosen Camarose Yaku as the yarn for this kit.
