Tales for Tadpoles
Alice's Adventures in Wonderland is an 1865 novel by English author Lewis Carroll. It tells of a young girl named Alice, who falls through a rabbit hole into a subterranean fantasy world populated by peculiar, anthropomorphic creatures. It is considered to be one of the best examples of the literary nonsense genre. The tale plays with logic, giving the story lasting popularity with adults as well as with children. Written as a sequel to Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, Through the Looking-Glass describes Alice’s further adventures as she moves through a mirror into another unreal world of illogical behaviour, this one dominated by chessboards and chess pieces. Like its predecessor, it contains a vast number of quotable remarks and poems that have been used by many authors since Carroll’s time. This edition is illustrated by Dagmar Berkova and the illustrations inside are delightful (the cover doesn't do the artwork justice!)  Please note this is a second hand book. Format: Hardback Condition: Very good used condition
