The Philodendron Imperial Red is a decorative foliage plant with large leathery leaves that go from a dark red to rich burgundy. When mature, these leaves turn into deep purples that eventually morph into dark glossy green. Originating from Columbia, this unusual plant is a relatively new hybrid, bred specifically to be a robust houseplant. A great low maintenance option and shade tolerant. Ideal for adding interest and air-purifying benefits to the home or office. Care Instructions: The Philodendron prefers bright indirect light but can also tolerate shady and lower light conditions. They prefer moist but not wet soil. Moist refers to moist to the touch but not soggy. Let it dry out slightly between waterings. The Imperial Red will do fine in normal home humidity, but thrives in more humid environments. Mist occasionally for best results. Filters airborne toxins such as such as formaldehyde and benzene from the atmosphere. Notes: This plant measures 35-40cm in height and comes in a 17cm pot.
