All the colours visible on these are different shades of clay (They are not painted). The patterns are created using a Japanese technique called Mokume Gane.  It requires layers of clay in different colours to be combined into a block and  carefully carved very thinly.  Some images attached to show you a peak into the process. No two pairs are alike so you'll own something truly unique. They are coated in a high gloss and finished with hypoallergenic stainless steel French hooks.
