The Grand Ardèche comes from the best vineyards, carefully selected every year when harvesting begins. The grapes are pressed and the rapes are placed immediately in oak barrels made by the cooperage at Latour, where the wine will age for approximately 10 months, like the great wines of Burgundy.   Louis Latour Macon Les Genievres This is one of the most highly regarded wines in Burgundy. This Mâcon is 100% Chardonnay, the vineyards are the most southerly in Burgundy where there is the advantage of warmer days, so the wines whilst still refreshing, have a riper fruit profile. This is a classic dry Chardonnay with hints of lemon, pear and ripe apple on the nose, the palate is fresh with a ripe note mid palate and a long mouth filling finish.     Louis Latour Mersault Blagny 1er Cru Exclusively produced by Maison Louis Latour, the Premier Cru of Château de Blagny is located high on the hillside overlooking the villages of Meursault and Puligny-Montrachet. Traditionally vinified and matured in small oak barrels, it displays all the attributes of a classic white Burgundy showing opulence and a mineral freshness coupled with rich flavours that develop overtime. The nose is intense and complex with notes of anise, apple and pear. On the palate the characteristics intensify. An extremely elegant wine well-balanced between fullness and persistence.   Louis Latour Valmoissine Pinot Noir Pinot Noir can be a really difficult grape. It’s why it’s usually so expensive. But leave it to Louis Latour, Burgundy superstars, to find a way to make to a Pinot Noir which is both delicious and every-day affordable. They looked to Var, in Southern France. An unusual choice, perhaps, for this cool-climate-loving grape, but at 500 meters above sea level you’re guaranteed the perfect conditions. It’s made on the site of an abandoned monastery at the same altitude as the Grand Cru red Burgundies which made Latour’s name. Cherry. Raspberry. Blackcurrants. It’s fruity – but with a savoury edge which is pure Pinot   Louis Latour Les Pierres Dorees Pinot Noir This is Latour from the ground to the glass, and it’s easy to see where the Pierres Dorées (“Golden Stones”) site got its name: from the rich ochre-colored soil revealing the fossilized oyster shells that lend minerality to wines from Chablis, Champagne, and some of the best sites in Burgundy. This area is also bathed in beautiful southern-Burgundian sunshine, which leads to exquisite ripeness, balanced with freshness fostered by the 1,000-foot-plus altitude of the vineyards   Domaine Latour Aloxe Corton Aloxe-Corton is the native village of the Latour family and arguably their flagship wine. The name “Les Chaillots” refers to the stony, pebbly nature of the soil in the vineyard, as “caillou” means pebble in French. The Les Chaillots vineyard is part of Domaine Louis Latour. This wine is fermented in large open top oak vats and aged for 10 to 12 months in French oak barrelsmade at the Latour Cooperage.       About Christophe Christophe Deola has been responsible for Domaine Louis Latour since 2017. He is a trained oenologist and engineer at the prestigious Agronomic Institute in Paris. Christophe Deola began his career as an oenologist in Bordeaux at the Château Phélan-Ségur. After working for various Burgundian domains, he joined Maison Louis Latour in 2011 as technical manager before being appointed head of Domaine Louis Latour 2017. He is described as committed, learned and thorough and his quest to produce wines with structure, finesse and elegance is his daily passion. Since the early 1990s, Maison Louis Latour has actively pursued sustainable viticulture and worked to preserve the ecosystems and biodiversity of their vineyards. Christophe Deola shares this vision and actively follows and develops the work that his predecessors have already introduced. It is in this spirit that Maison Louis Latour chose to practice traditional viticulture techniques where the care of the soil is necessary for the vines to grow under the best conditions. An example of their commitment is the use of cover crops between the rows of vines, production of own compost and alternative non-chemical pest control. All to preserve the ecosystem.
