Stefania and Giulia have created this bouncy single ply sport yarn from 100% Italian wool. It is spun in a highly skilled mill at the Alps foothills, and then lovingly hand dyed. A number of farms across the Abruzzo uplands have been working closely together over the past decade to produce this unique merino cross breed yarn, called AQUILANA. The small team at Lanivendole have been following this work closely and they are thrilled to now be bringing this single fibre yarn to a wider audience. All Lanivendole yarns are made following a short chain production, which is 100% traceable: it begins with fibre gathering directly from local breeders, then the blends are spun in two regional mills and finally the yarns are hand dyed in small batches at the Lanivendole Studio.
