They use 100% organic cotton for the body, hair, and clothes. The eyes are embroidered to bring the doll to life and they have two straps at the back to tie Flora to a pram or bag (if wanted) to bring her on all kinds of adventures.  Winner of Swedish Toy of the Year 'Eco-Friendly' 2019 and CE marked. The dolls' filling used to be virgin polyester plastic, but the Rubens Barn team are committed to transitioning to the most earth-kind materials. These Mini Eco-bids are the first - they are made of Organic Content Standard (OCS) organic cotton and filled with Global Recycled Standard (GRS) polyester fibre.   Rubens Barn dolls are made by a family business in China, which of course means travel miles to Ireland. To counter weight this, a tree is planted with non-profit One Tree Planted for every eco-bud doll sold (each doll comes with its own tree certificate).
