Many of the vines are 60 years old.  This is a Classic Merlot dominated blend from Lalande-de-Pomerol. 2015 Was the Pomerol vintage and this wine has the benefits of the neighbouring Pomerol wines without the price. Tasting Note: The wine is a compote of black and red fruits, very pure in character. A hint of toasted oak on the nose, with balanced acidity and freshness.  Tasting Note: The wines from this property are always sleek and supple and the 2016 is no different. But what the 2016 vintage has is just more of everything, deeper fruit profile, richer tannic structure, riper balancing acidity. The core is all cassis and rich plum, a touch of florality and then a deep draft of dark chocolate.
