It is known to have been used as beads by Early Neolithic peoples. We hand select our Carnelian for it's rich lustrous orange colour and love how this ancient stone looks so striking in a contemporary setting.Dalmatian jasper (yes, it is named after the dog) is found in Chihuahua, Mexico (yes we know, more dogs!) A complex mix of quartz and feldspar, Its cream to beige base colour is attractively flecked with black tourmaline spots, resembling the coat of the Dalmatian dog.Labradorite (named after the Canadian region, not the dog) is a form of feldspar originally discovered in Labrador, Canada. Labradorite can be an iridescent stone; the myriad of crystal planes in the rock cause light to be refracted giving it beautiful angular monochrome tones with occasional flashes of turquoise blue or yellow depending on the stone.Pink Opal is sourced the Andes of Peru. It is a soft rose colour opaque gemstone.
