Tulipa Negrita
A long-established and deservedly popular Triumph tulip, Tulipa Negrita has beautiful, egg-shaped, deep purple flowers, coming into flower from mid-April and into May. The broad leaves are mid-green. It should be planted in November, to avoid the fungal disease tulip fire, but can be planted as late as Christmas. Tulip Negrita is ideal for bedding, and looks particularly lovely mixed with mauve and white tulips. It can also be planted in pots, and makes a good cut flower.
