Daffodil Dellan
An early-flowering cultivar, Daffodil Dellan is a smallish, bulbous perennial with an upright habit. The leaves are strap-shaped and mid-green. In March and April, beautiful, scented, pale yellow flowers with large ‘trumpets’ appear. Wearing gloves, plant 10cm deep and 20cm apart in September, in a sunny, sheltered position, and divide bulbs only when flowering diminishes. Allow the foliage to die down naturally; this is more attractive when grown naturalised in grass; otherwise, allow a low perennial to grow in front of the clumps. Daffodil Dellan can also be grown in containers.
