The house portrayed in the label shows his shop in the countryside of Alba. Italian classics such as Gavi and Barbera have been around for many a year, but the advent and uptake of modern winemaking techniques by producers such as Riva Leone is bringing these great wines to the attention of a whole new audience. Produced and bottled in a state of the art winery in Priocco, Riva Leone is a fantastic example of modern Italian winemaking at its best. Tasting Notes Burnt sienna color. Aromas and flavors of pomegranate, roasted nut brittle, hibiscus, incense, and rosehips with a lightly tannic, lively, dry light-to-medium body and a warming, medium-length finish with notes of reduced citrus with coarse tannins and a suggestion of oak flavor.
