The Day the Crayons Quit
€10.50
Designist
One day in class, Duncan went to take out his crayons - only to find a bundle of letters, all addressed to him instead. So begins a sweet story about his crayons and their feelings about how he does (or doesn't) use them in his drawings.
Grey is tired of all the large animals like elephants and whales he has to colour in and dreams instead of small pebbles and baby pengiuns. Blue loves having been the favouriate for so many years but worries he is getting so short and stubby he will no longer be able to see out of the crayon box any more. Peach is embarassed that Ducan peeled off his wrapper and is feeling decisively naked, while Green is delighted with his career in colouring in dinosaurs and trees and aligaters but is getting very tired of having to listen to orange and yellow squabble on so much...
Well, Duncan just wants to draw, and he wants his crayons to be happy, so he has a plan...
This heartwarming story about listening to our feelings and others is writen by Drew Daywalt and illistrated by Oliver Jeffers. And as this is a boardbook, its pages are nice and thick for young readers who are inclined to having a little chew on a page during story time.
We have lots of other kids books here at designist. if you are looking for gifts for newly arrived humans, we have some of those too.
