Shrub Rose Arthur Bell A yellow, cluster-flowered (floribunda) rose bred by McGredy’s in 1964, Rosa Arthur Bell is small, deciduous shrub of upright, bushy habit. The glossy, ovate leaves are bright green, setting off the flowers beautifully. It’s a good repeat-flowerer; masses of clustered flowers are borne in flushes from June to November. The flowers are semi-double to double, 3”/8cm across, cup-shaped, sweetly fragrant, and a clear, bright yellow, fading to cream. Do not confuse with the climbing form, Climbing Arthur Bell. A strong, if diminutive, rose which will tolerate poorer soils, shrub rose Arthur Bell holds the RHS Award of Garden Merit.
