Fuji Cherry Woodfield Cluster
A dwarf hybrid of the Fuji cherry bred by the Irish horticulturist Keith Lamb, Prunus x incisa Woodfield Cluster is a medium-sized deciduous shrub with a delicate, spreading habit and a fantastic display of spring blossom, ideal for a small or Japanese garden. The long, serrated leaves emerge pale green, turning deeper green in summer and shades of red and orange in autumn. The white flowers with a tinge of pink at the centre are small but wonderfully profuse, and appear in March, just before the leaves; the blossom is very attractive to pollinators. Fuji cherry Woodfield Cluster is very easy to grow, requires little pruning, and looks lovely underplanted with small spring bulbs, or in a large container.
