Paniculate Hydrangea Magical Andes
A compact form of paniculate hydrangea, Hydrangea paniculata Magical Andes is a deciduous shrub of average vigour suitable for smaller gardens. The leaves emerge mid- to deep green, quite early, on attractive red stems. From midsummer, the shrub carries large, conical, white flowers, some showy sterile ones and some, fertile ones, which age to pink. Hydrangea Magical Andes is small enough to be grown in a large container. Leave the flowers over winter to protect next year’s buds in cooler areas. Needs shelter from cold, drying wind.
