British Colour Standard small round powder-coated steel candle platter.  A bold, vibrant blue, the colour name Petrol blue was introduced into seasonal ranges in 1943, standardised here owing to many requests for the colour. A descriptive colour name matched to the fruit of the olive tree. The name came into use in the middle of the 18th Century.
