Condition of these wonky (imperfect) boards: All 3 are structurally perfect and as safe and good to use as any other das.Brett. #2 and #3 their outer oiled finish has been damaged. This makes them less beautiful, less gift-able, less washable, less suitable for use on grass. Oiled natural, with natural cork: This is brand new and perfect other than, it got hit off a metal shelving which left a small (1cm long) dent in the side. You'd hardly notice it. Oiled red: Was used on carpet as a demonstration in the Conscious Christmas Store in 2019. Grit / stones between board and carpet left pock marks. While displayed in the window, a pool of water from a 'growing greeting' card left on top of it for a month dissolved the finish. And some use on a black rough floor left a mark underneath which has been sanded-off. Oiled natural, no cork: Was used on carpet as a demonstration at trade shows in Jan/Feb 2020 (and not since then). People's black shoes marked it. We should have used a lacquered board, it would have been easier to removed these marks. But with this oiled board, it looked black-dirty so we sanded it, removing the protective outer oil later. We asked the maker how someone could restore it, they said: Sand the whole board with a soft sandpaper (use a machine); Use a thimble of proper natural oil to lubricate the whole balance board  and let it dry for one night; Then use a grinding machine with a special „sponge" to finish the process; ...sounds to us like a job for a friend who's a professional wood finisher! das.Brett supports intuitive, imagination play and exercise for children, and also fitness for teens and adults. Oiled vs lacquered. Choose lacquered if being able to wash it frequently is important, e.g., if using in a childcare facility or outdoors. Lacquered is only available in natural wood colour. Cork cladding on the bottom side vs none. Choose cork if you'll be using on a stone/tile/wooden floor. Choose cork if the person using it is frail so wouldn't want it to slide. Choose without cork if you'll be using on carpet and are in good health (being able to make it slide on the carpet is fun and allows for cool moves!).
