The Zingaretti vineyard where the grapes for this particular wine are grown is more than 80 years old, traditional Argentinian cane pruned, on a clay, sandy soil with a layer of coarse stone, the perfect mix for high quality Malbec. The wine is aged in French oak for 18 months, 52% of which is new. The nose is intense and aromatic with lots of spices, sweet spices and violets. There's black tea, red berries, blackberries, black plums and an earthy undertone. Elegant, rich and smooth with well balanced fine tannins and marked minerality on the finish.  A truly special Malbec that will continue to age for years to come or can be enjoyed now, we'd recommend decanting the wine prior to drinking and this is an ideal match for a high quality steak, prefereably one with marbling as the fat compounds give more flavour to balance with the wine.
