Hydrangea Bouquet Rose A very popular mophead hydrangea, Hydrangea macrophylla Bouquet Rose is a compact, deciduous shrub, with a rounded, spreading habit. The ovate leaves are mid-green. From June to September large candy-pink or purple-blue mopheads which fade to pink are borne on the shrub; the initial colour depends on the acidity (bluer) or alkalinity (pinker) of your soil. Hydrangea Bouquet Rose is small enough to be grown in a large container. Leave the dead heads on the shrub for frost protection, and prune back flowered stems to two healthy buds in late February. Must be watered in dry periods.
