Original watercolour painting on paper, which captures the age-old tradition of the Rasaí na gCurachaí (Currach Races) in Connemara, Co. Galway, a tradition which is still going strong today.  A 'currach' is a small round boat, and it's construction and design are unique to the west coasts of Ireland.  The backdrop of the rugged Connemara landscape is something to behold.  The painting measures 23.2" x 16.5", and is presented in a professionally made wooden frame measuring 28.7" x 23", with glass.
