The Sakamoto Throw was designed by graphic designer Kobayashi Ikki in collaboration with KIAN for our Tokyo Series. At Slowdown Studio we are very inspired by Japanese art and design, particularly the current wave of young designers in Tokyo. With the help of KIAN, we have curated a collection of blankets featuring the art of three standout designers, Kobayashi Ikki, Shun Sasaki, and Kentaro Okawara. Between the three of them we were able to encapsulate everything we love about Japanese art in 2020.Slowdown Studio woven blankets are the perfect weight to be used on the couch, as a picnic rug, or to hang on the wall as art. They are proudly made from 100% cotton grown, spun and woven in the USA. All blankets are manufactured with yarn that is made from 70% recycled cotton.
