Scout Dublin
Superfolk was founded by the husband and wife team of craft-designer Gearoid Muldowney and artist and architect Jo Anne Butler. Their studio is nestled in the rugged landscape of Clew Bay along Ireland’s stunning West Coast. Their surroundings bear a significant influence on their vast homeware collection in both their use of colour and overall product design. A key element of Superfolk’s ethos is sustainable design using natural and renewable materials to create pieces that are long-lasting and timeless in their aesthetic. Bring the sea home with Superfolk's collection of botanical prints inspired by clear bright mornings seaweed foraging in the ice-cold waters of the Atlantic. The Channelled Wrack is a boldly coloured piece within the seaweed collection. It incorporates the stunning hues of raw umber, bright mustard ochre and dark green undertones. Each print block is cut and printed using water-based inks by hand onto 50gr handmade Japanese washi paper. Measurements: 52 x 43cm
