Designed to take the shock out of berthing! These FORSHEDA mooring compensators are made of EPDM rubber. The compensator stretches and stops the snatching of the line against boat and jetty. It is designed for heavy use. By varying the turns of the rope, you can adjust the hardness of the damping, it gives a different amount of stretch. The material is resistant against UV and seawater. Available in different sizes.  Note: For 3 turns around the mooring compensator, you need approx. 20-30 cm rope. More or less rope depending on the number of turns. Consider this when ordering rigging dimensions.Ready made mooring line can be furnished with whipping for example. By using whipping, the outer diameter of the mooring line is larger and can not be threaded through the eyelets of the jerk damper.Our tip: In most cases, choose a shock absorber one size larger.
