Louth may be small but it squeezes a lot in. It’s home to two of Ireland’s largest towns, Drogheda and Dundalk. Its coast is long, thanks to the Cooley peninsula, and littered with beautiful beaches and world renowned golf courses. Louth has long used a Brigid’s cross to represent itself. Brigid’s crosses are small handmade crosses, traditionally woven from rush. Although associated now with St. Brigid, they date back far beyond Christianity to Celtic times. This ‘L’ flag captures a simple and stylised Brigid’s cross on a red plain. About Dubliner Gianni Clifford is an award winning designer with a host of experience in both Product and Graphic Design.
