TipperaryCounty Tipperary, in Munster, is Ireland’s largest landlocked county. During Ireland’s war of independence, Tipperary played a vital role, with its towns and roads playing host to many fatal ambushes and brutal retaliations. Today, tourists flock to the county to see the Rock of Cashel—the former seat of the King of Munster, dating back to the 12th century. Tipperary is also known for its expansive plains, particularly the Golden Vale, also known as ‘The Golden Vein’, which stretches across three counties and is said to make the best dairy in Ireland (which means the best in the world). This flag captures the Golden Vale, and a bright Tipp sky.
