Irish Proverb: Maireann croí éadrom a bhfad This lovely proverb means that a light heart lives long.
Commissioned by St. Patrick's Festival in partnership with Hen's Teeth.
Supported by the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media under the 20 Year Strategy for the Irish Language 2010 – 2030.About the artistOne Strong Arm is the letterpress print studio run by artist, printer and designer Dave Darcy. Dave creates contemporary typography-led work using traditional methods.
This usually involves the studio’s ever-growing collection of antique wood and metal type, combined with some more modern techniques and processes. Much of OSA’s work comes in the form of self-initiated projects. We also work closely with designers, artists, agencies, writers, musicians, illustrators, collaborators, experimenters and co-conspirators to create thoughtfully produced work of all kinds.
