Ambassador Sofa In the 1950s, the Ambassador Car was inspired by British car maker Morris Motors. The "Amby", as it was affectionately dubbed, was quite successful in India. It was the first Indian-made car, and it was well-made with a modern, iconic design. With these successes, this pre-liberalisation darling was fondly known as the "King of Indian roads." Our Ambassador Sofa pays homage to this icon with a reclaimed 4-door saloon front bonnet, beautifully restored with a working headlight and front plate. The car's hood is replaced with a plush, tufted seat covered in buffalo leather in a regal deep, dark red colour. Buffalo hide from India is highly durable and will uphold years of use in a family room or living room. This is truly an exceptional piece and a fantastic example of modern, upcycled design. The vintage red leather sofa shows creative sofa design at its best! Dimensions:  100 cm (H) x 170 cm (W) x 100 cm (D)
