The Jolly Pashas was published in 1892. It is a collection of linked stories by Scottish author, John Alexander Steuart.
Steuart was born near Aberfeldy, Perthshire, Scotland in 1861. He lived in Canada for some years before moving back to England. Between 1887 and 1901 he published 8 novels, including “Kilgroom: A Story of Ireland” and “Self-Exiled: A Story of the High Seas and East Africa”. He also worked as a journalist and editor.

Good condition. With frontispiece (loose) and illustrations. Dark green cloth covers, gilt lettering to spine and cover. Image of two monks on cover. Black end papers. Binding intact.
