Quay Books
‘Pansy’ was the pen name of American author Isabella Macdonald Alden (1841 – 1930). She wrote about 100 books for children; all had a strong moral message, they were described as “good, pure books for young and old alike”.
Striving to Help, published in America as The Browning Boys, is the story of Aleck and Ben Browning. Ben is thoughtful and quietly ambitious, while Aleck hides his true feelings behind a gruff exterior. When their family faces a difficult time, they both try to help, and find that they need to lean on the promises of God to show them the right path.
Published by T. Nelson and Sons, 1887.
In good condition. Binding intact. Some foxing on endpapers.
