“They came from somewhere in that direction, only a few millions of miles away”

During the First World War he was suspected of having pro-German sympathies, so in 1915 he moved to the United States, where he taught French and Slavic history.
Published by Arnold Fairbairns & Co. in London in 1908.
Decorated binding depicting a man interacting with 2 ethereal beings on the front cover. Original pictorial light blue cloth.
The book is in good condition. Some foxing on the endpapers. No dustjacket.
