Arguably South Australia’s most colorful winemaker, literally, is Chester Osbourne of McLaren Vale’s d’Arenberg Wines. Known for his flamboyant shirts that tastefully manage to fit more colors on one garment than you’ll find in a crayon box, he is a true wine icon of the region. His boisterous personality is as bold and colorful as his shirts which ironically can be said of his wines as well.  Beyond their outstanding wines, d'Arenberg has also put McLaren Vale on the international oenophile map with their creation of one of the most unusual, and of course colorful, cellar doors that you’ll find anywhere in the world, the d’Arenberg Cube.  We want to bring you, our customers closer to the most influential people in wine, and online tastings with attendees anywhere in the world are easier now, than ever before. He is a living legend in the wine World, has been a founding force for the Australian wine industry since inception and we are humbled to have him face to face with us for a 60 - 75 minute tasting of his best wines.  D'arenberg wines were crowned winery of the year at the London International Wine Competition in 2020. The Dead Arm Shiraz, named International Wine of the Year, scoring a phenomenal 97 points and beating every other wine in contention. Chester has asked us to include a decanted 187ml bottle with 1 full glass of the Dead Arm Shiraz citing it as a must taste wine at any tasting he is involved with.(RRP€55 per bottle) He is the Willie Wonka of Australian wine and he will bring us through 7 wines. We will  email you a link for the online tasting. The tasting will take place on Thursday 18th February at 8.30pm  We will include a host of Australian food recipes in your tasting Case. So plan ahead and cook Aussie on the 18th February. We have chosen this date so that you can open more than one of the wines, and still have a full weekend ahead to enjoy them.
