Stainless Steel Pitmaster's Cleaver with Boxwood Handle
€40.00
Great Northern Larder
Solsona in Spain is famous for its knife industry, and Pallares founded in 1917 is one of the few remaining family businesses where each knife is sharpened by hand and where every employee is a craftworker.
This pitmaster's cleaver is a great choice for the serious meat lover. It has a hefty blade that makes it great for splitting up large pieces of meat or soft bone.
This is a quality knife and the reasonable price reflects the fact that it is made with natural and sustainable materials in a traditional manner. It is up to you to make it priceless with years of care and happy memories.
Care Instructions
This knife is made of stainless steel and should resist rusting. However it needs looking after - it should not be left wet or covered in food. If it is not being used for a while a rub of oil will protect it. Stainless steel needs more regular honing than carbon steel - but it is perfect for a tool designed for chopping more than cutting.
The handle is boxwood. Boxword is an expensive hardwood that has a beautiful natural cream colour. Over time and with exposure to light the handle will darken slightly.
Do not place in dishwasher.
