Where I Live, by Ronald Duncan, Illustrated by Michael Hanson.

Quay Books
In 1937 the writer and poet Ronald Duncan moved to the Marsland valley on the north coast of Devon seeking a simple life, in tune with nature. He remained in the area all his life, writing and farming. It is an idyllic and largely unspoiled place, close to the border of Cornwall. Where I live describes life in West Mill, Welcombe:
“The beach was only two hundred yards from the mill. Wild sage and thyme made the cliffs smell like a Harris tweed. The land had been entirely abandoned to rabbits; the small trout stream was leased by a heron, and poised buzzards overlorded all.”
A clean copy in good condition. No dustjacket. The cover boards are strong but frayed, perhaps from being kept in a damp environment for a period. All 191 pages are in very good condition.
Published by The Country Book Club, 1954. Hardback.
