Ireland is known for it's textile heritage and lacemaking centres, which were established throughout the country in the 1800's, developing unique Irish lacemaking techniques. Carrickmacross lace become well known for it's decorative designs worked on a fine net background. We have worked from a Carrickmacross vintage sampler, carefully hand drawing all the intricate detail of the thread work to create the Swans Lace design. This will make a beautiful gift and can be used to hold anything from pencils to lipstick or coins and keys. Versatile and elegant it will be a favourite. Dimensions: 24 mm x 15 mm.
