Ireland is known for it's textile heritage and lace making centres were established throughout the country in the 1800's where unique Irish lace making techniques developed. Carrickmacross lace became well known for it's decorative designs worked on a fine net background. Inspired by this traditional lace making technique, we have worked from a vintage sampler, carefully hand drawing all the intricate detail of the thread work to create this timeless design.
