Nick Nolte, Matt Dillon and Emily Mortimer star in this American remake of the 2014 German comedy drama of the same name. Following the death of his wife, the mental state of Alzheimer's sufferer Amadeus (Nolte) begins to rapidly deteriorate and he moves to London to live with his son Nick (Dillon). After several alarming incidents, Nick and his wife Sarah (Mortimer) question whether they are able to continue caring for Amadeus and consider placing him in a care home. Desperate to find a way to help her grandfather, ten-year-old Matilda (Sophia Lane Nolte) accompanies him on a trip to Venice, where he first met her grandmother, but will it be enough to bring their fractured family back together?
