Children's adventure comedy starring Oscar-winner Ben Kingsley as mysterious magician the Great Zamboni: a recluse with a secret who lives in the Spooky House. Despite the scary stories they have heard, orphan Max (Matt Weinberg) and his friends decide to try and befriend the magician hoping to uncover his secret past but their attempts prove unsuccessful. However, when they are chased by bullies on Halloween, they seek refuge in the Spooky House and are treated to a night of comical magic and magnificent illusions, after which Max becomes Zamboni's apprentice and together they discover the force of real magic.
