Every piece of my jewellery is entirely handmade in Ireland, in our workshop, Kerry Way Studio.This Celtic Dragon pendant is made with fine silver and decorated with vitreous enamel called Minankari.The pendant in total: 5.8 cmWidth: 3.5 cmIt is hanged on the strand of leather cord- 55cm- finished with sterling silver lobster clasp.The Minankari, also known as Cloisonné or Vitreous Enamel is an intricate and laborious, ancient jewellers technique.The enamel becomes the final artwork after several firing operations in a special kiln and then, time-consuming polishing, demanding high level of an expertise.The finished piece is unique and it is almost impossible to find two identical ornaments.
