This is a bowl made from the Burr of a Horse Chestnut Tree. The burr is the gnarly growth found on the side of some trees. It has been turned to include some of the bark to add a dark brown colour and to add to the unusual markings caused by the burr. It is finished with Danish Oil which is safe for use with food. The dimensions are approximately 28cm wide x 10 cm high or 11" x 4". Please note that there is a gap in the bark at the bottom.
