This neat little collection of basic kitchen tools is for a child, to teach them how to hold a knife, prep food and stay safe in the process. They come in a little box for 'Le Petit Chef'.  The kit comprises of a kitchen knife, a peeler and a safety guard for their fingers when chopping. There are holes in the knife and the peeler which are for their finegers which teach them where how to hold a knife or a kitchen tool correctly. The knife is slightly serrated. The tools are in beech wood with red splashes for fun. Opinel say they are for children from the age of 4...the age of reason!
