The Rita was inspired by a knitting friend who had vintage patterns and wondered if I could adapt them as she wanted to knit a casual cardi-coat style. A contemporary pattern with Aran was difficult to find at the time. I decided to make up a new jacket pattern. Rita knit a beautiful pink tweed one and I was inspired to add the design to the collection and also as a knitting pattern and kit.
