Taissa Farmiga and Demián Bichir star in this horror spin-off of 'The Conjuring 2' (2016). Set in 1952, the film follows Catholic priest Father Burke (Bichir) and young nun Sister Irene (Farmiga) as they are dispatched by the Vatican to investigate the mysterious death of a nun at the Cârta Monastery in Romania. Upon arrival, they are met with a hostile reception as the malevolent entities occupying the monastery reveal themselves. As they work to uncover the secrets of the order, will they escape with their souls intact or will they be the next victims of the demonic nun?
