Awarded 94 Points - James Halliday,  Australian Wine Companion  Country: Australia Region: Heathcote, Victoria Varietal: Shiraz  Vintage: 2010 Colour: Red Style: Dry Producer: Alberto Antonini Description:The name ‘Greenstone’ comes from the rocks coloured green by the oxidised iron in the soils. It was purchased by winemaker Alberto Antonini, viticulturalist Mark Walpole and David Gleave of Liberty Wines in 2002.2005 was the first vintage from the Greenstone Vineyard, and was met with great critical acclaim. James Halliday, Australia's Robert Parker, gave the winery a Five Star rating in the 2008 Guide, and named it as one of his Top Ten newcomers. Tasting Note: "Medium purple-crimson; the very fragrant bouquet of spicy red berry fruits leads into a tightly focused and very elegant palate with a mix of savoury/earthy red and black fruits, the tannins fine and long, oak playing a pure support role."   - James Halliday,  Australian Wine Companion  Ageing Potential: 10+ years ABV: 13.5% Food Matches: Roast Meats, Braised Pork, Fillet Steak, Lamb Dishes
